Also, last time I checked there hasn't been any activity on here since the 16th of September.

WHAT?!

I demand an explanation!

I hope that this wiki is not, in fact, dead. I hope that this wiki will succeed just like the SCP wiki.

I hope not.

Is this site dead?

Re: Welcome! by NejNej, 05 Aug 2015 08:19

Are the Customer reviews for other people to post in, or just the original author?

It's kinda dead here… Sad. MC&D should be a interesting place to hunters, art-lovers, and really high society ones.
Please keep it breathing.

Best of luck to you.

Done. I put in a request to either have myself instated as interim admin or to assign such privileges directly to Bright.

Ah, so we can post. Well, if you want you can apply to wikidot and have the admin changed. We did that when our original administrator disappeared on the main wiki.

Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you!

Re: Welcome! by RogetRoget, 20 Oct 2012 19:54

How the fuck did you get in? Serious actual useful question; the only admin has been MIA for a while.
Edit: apparently non-members can post here. Hi, I'm the last man standing. I'd say that and the fact that this site is no longer linked on the GOI page indicates it's dead as a doornail sadly.

So this is an official site?

Found this place on the SCP Wiki, Marshal, Carter, and Dark are very well known over there. I'm better at clinical than catalouge tone, and I'm not the greatest writer. I'll see what I can do though.

Howdy. I've finally reached a point in my life where I'm willing and able to write a great deal; feedback of any variety would be valued.

It's finally up.

[primary domain slash]item:the-impossible-lizard (I can't post links in the forums).
Edit: Mister Carter, you have carte blanche on editing that adventure.
Son of Edit: should you enjoy the disclaimer, might you add it to the mcd template?
Bride of Edit: this is the First Time Ever I've submitted something to wikidot. Forgive the absurd amount of editing- I'm still learning this site's way of organizing the page layout.

I'd venture to say that the more honest MC&D are in their catalog, the more creep factor comes across. Especially if there are customer reviews for items or experiences that no one in their right mind should ever make use of.

I think part of the concern is that it's hard to be suitably vague, and much of the creep factor in the SCP files comes from filling in the blanks.

I suggest you can have the catalog keep things vague without losing any honesty. Maybe make use of blacked out text (███) in some of the customer reviews to keep things "tasteful" on the gentlemanly website, and suggest that only certain exclusive clients of MC&D (say there are Silver, Gold and Platinum Members) have access to the full, uncensored catalog.

Just spit-balling here.

Gentlemen,

I'm new to the site, but am very eager to get involved with an SCP spinoff on the ground floor.

I was reading through the existing articles on the site, and something struck me - the page headers for the individual sections are… well, pretty weak, with the exception of the "Adventures!" category.

Can we work on those? Spice them up to make them more alluring?

Edit: Also, I'd like to propose we change the MC&D motto to "Making the unobtainable, obtainable, since 1808." Entirely because it sounds more pompous.

Edit 2: More quibbles. I think we should alphabetize all of the catalog indexes.

I found the site through TV Tropes, so links to it do exist in places people lurk.

Re: Welcome! by MrBourgeoisMrBourgeois, 29 Apr 2012 18:53

Oh, I dunno… found this myself after looking up MC&D in Google. Admittedly I only found out about MC&D from SCP, but if I can find it, I'm sure others can too ;)
